Environmental Services

Council provides a number of services to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all members of the community.  There are many aspects to the environment including:

The Built Environment - e.g. buildings

The Natural Environment - e.g. Tiger Bay Wildlife Park

The Social Environment - e.g. Recycling


Help your Council help you.....

There are many ways in which you, the local resident can assist Council to improve our environment and community. 

By observing these simple suggestions outlined below you will not only be assisting your Council to do its job but you will ensure that your town is a better place to live in and to raise a family.

  • Contact Council's office if you require information regarding Council property

  • Report damage to Council property

  • Keep you Shire tidy - DO NOT LITTER

  • Use Council facilities

  • Support community activities

  • Respect the amenity of your neighbours

  • Drive carefully

  • Council appreciates your input - please make suggestions which can improve our service provision
